Celebrity gossip: Which male celebs have gone under the knife?

I love a bit of celebrity gossip as much as the next guy. And I love what my friend and guest writer, Bella Franklin, has to say in this post she wrote for GlamMan. Enjoy!

With paparazzi lurking around every corner, celebrities do all they can to look good. They hire the best chefs, go to the best gym and wear designer clothes – but they also go under the knife. That’s right; a nip here and a tuck there is nothing for some stars, so let’s find out who has had what done.
Craig Revel Horwood

Craig Revel Horwood
Do you watch Strictly Come Dancing? If so you’re sure to know Craig Revel Horwood – one of the nastiest judges on the panel. He’s a dancer and choreographer in his own right but he’s recently admitted to having a male breast reduction to reduce his man boobs. The critical star told the Daily Mirror: “I couldn’t cha-cha-cha without them jigging in my face” and has apparently had his chest reduced from a C-cup to and A-cup.

Gordon Ramsey

Gordon Ramsey
Gordon Ramsey hit the headlines when he had the lines and wrinkles removed from his face. After making it big in the US, he reportedly took Simon Cowell’s advice and had fillers injected into his chin. This procedure can cost up to £400 a time and is used to get rid of deep grooves and lines in the skin. The foul-mouthed chef – well-known for programs such as the F Word and Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares – is also said to have had a facelift and a hair transplant – but do you think he looks better?

Tom Jones

Sir Tom Jones
Singing sensation Tom Jones may be 72, but he still looks fine and dandy thanks to a wealth of plastic surgery. The Welsh star is rumoured to have had procedures on his nose, chin and eyes and is believed to have had his pearly whites capped. When it comes to getting more done, however, the star is a little more cautious after wise words from his surgeon. During an interview with the Daily Mirror he said medical professionals have “advised me against having anything else done" – so we’ll have to wait and see.

Barry Manilow

Barry Manilow
Barry Manilow is thought to be another regular on the plastic surgery circuit – although he has been a little less forthcoming about his operations over the years. He’s supposedly had a wealth of procedures including multiple facelifts, eyelid fillers and numerous rounds of Botox, but it’s hard to tell for sure if any of the rumours are true. Sure he looks rather good for his age – what with his smooth skin and all – but it might just be down to a good diet and plenty of sleep.

Ahem. Everything from facelifts to hair transplants and gynecomastia surgery is popular these days, but would you have anything done?

My La Mer Lip Balm

Almost time get a new one because I don't leave home without it. This baby has been around the world as well as knocked around in shorts, jeans, suits, backpacks and brief cases. And in case anyone is wondering, the square outline in my left pocket is my iPhone and the round outline in my right pocket is my La Mer lip balm. It's a look.

If it's good for Marc, it's good for me

Can't say I'm a big fan of the kilt but I do love me some clean skin. It seems Marc Jacobs is a fan of clean, fresh, moisturized skin as well. And he makes an excellent soap choice — Whole Foods Triple Milled Shea Butter Soap — which is my soap of choice. This bar produces lots of thick, creamy lather that whisks away oils and dirt without leaving the skin dry — very moisturizing. It rinses off easily and leaves a "barely there" fresh clean "way above average" scent. Definitely a must on your next trip to Whole Foods.

What is the next silhouette for a man?

I really love these videos from Details magazine. Designer Robert Geller talks about what inspires his collections and wonders what will be what the next silhouette for a man, as he gets a haircut at NYC's Blind Barber.

Goodbye Calvin Klein… Hello MensFit!

Men’s underwear just got a lot hotter since discovering MensFit.

As a card-carrying member of David Barton Gym in Chelsea (The mostly gay gym with a sprinkling of trannies and a couple of straight girls… and yes, Anderson Cooper goes there) I have access to the locker room where I get to see some of the underwear fashion trends before they hit the mainstream. Observation #1: not a boxer short in sight. Observation #2: Underwear styles have never been more colorful, fun and butt-enhancing. MensFit, an Australian company, has an incredibly sexy, nicely cut and well made line of briefs. These have replaced my 2xist and Calvin Klein’s. Check the MensFit line out here.

Dior Aqua Fahrenheit is Hitting the Right Notes

Ok, so I was a fan of Fahrenheit by Dior the minute it came out in 1988 — one of the first fragrances for men that broke tradition by adding a floral to the mix. The groundbreaking violet accord was the surprise in this case. Every once in a while, to keep things fresh, Dior would introduce a version of the fragrance where the mix would be tweaked, intensified and even warmed up a few degrees. They’re all pretty good but none as good as the original — until now. Dior has introduced the new Aqua Fahrenheit and it is really hitting all the right notes. It rocks the same woody/leathery base notes of the original with a crisp refreshing twist of Vetiver and Citrus. The opening is quite stunning with a blast of Italian grapefruit which is smoothed out by middle notes of Violet and Brazilian Spearmint.

The fragrance is quite nice and perfect for the warm days and evenings of summer. Enjoy!

FREDERIC MALLE for Father's Day

It pays to be a man this Father’s Day. The rugged nature of Frederic Malle’s four classic men’s scents (Bigarade, Vetiver Extraordinaire, Bois d’Orage and Geranium Pour Monsieur) makes them the only fragrances from his collection tough enough to exist in body wash form. Bois d’Orage and Geranium Pour Monsieur are new and right in time for Father’s Day.
Bigarade, Vetiver - $75
Bois d’Orage, Geranium - $70

My New Gucci Belt

To get this Memorial Day off to a good start, I took the girls out for a TWO HOUR walk around Greenwich Village. Girls in tow, I put myself on autopilot and headed to Jeffreys in the Meatpacking district. While I was there, I bought this Gucci belt (to wear with my Gilded Age selvedge denim jeans) and I sprayed on some Comme des Garcons Fragrance WONDERWOOD. It smells so good and is so well made that I think I need to own a bottle ASAP. A fresh wood - great for warm weather.

Ooh La La...Oui Oui... Abercrombie and Fitch Opens in Paris

Yesterday 100+ shirtless models worked what mama gave them for the pre-opening of Abercrombie & Fitch store on the Champs Elysées in Paris. Can Hollister be far behind?
